Aww the grind, one of every MMO staples in design. It is the gateway to the end game, the end goal, where presumably, people are waiting to give you cake and blowjobs upon completion. Well at least that is what I hope for upon any great feat, don’t you? But many of you might be trying to stop me right there, snarkaly saying, “it is the journey, not the destination.” Well don’t worry, Trion Worlds felt the same way before you pointed it out, and has taken the steps in providing users with the journey they desire.
Well, well. What do we have here? Looks like CNN has decided to enter the ring of console cometary. While I do not know who thought CNN needed a review unit, considering they are so out of touch and would most likely provide less then favorable press, and lack of knowledge, it seems that they have hired a “Hardcore Gamer” to give his feedback on the matter. How do we know hes hardcore? Well he says he is hard core, and he grew up on “Halo”! I sure he is so hardcore that he does not know the massive hand cramps you get for using an virtual analog stick of gaming on the iOS. I must has sissy hands. Anyway, there is allot more I could say but I will let you formulate your own impressions.
As you may or may not know form my twitter, I am so sick I don’t even know if this is a fevered dream, but I’ll roll with it. Game and Watch is on you internets, and is a great look back at the days of old, considering the 3DS is coming out this Sunday; feels like it was only yesterday I was playing it at E3 2010 (gets snarky) and about 30 other times at events spread throughout the year.
Everyone loves to be acknowledged, it is in our basic nature. Many games today, integrate what many see as an arbitrary number in to games, with the sole purpose of extending game play. But what happens, when that arbitrary number, is not just tacked on, but integrated in to the game from the start, with the understanding and forethought that come with it. RIFT is that game.

One thing I notice has become increasingly popular is time management games; a sort of how fast and how accurately can you perform an action or interacting with the game environment. Here enters G5 Entertainment bringing a more colorful spin, as they always do, while giving its own message about the problems we face with our planet as well as the other animals that live on it.

Aww economics, one thing we can never escape. There are 3 thinks in life we have to do or there are major repercussions; eat, sleep, and pay dues. This is also true in many games, especially MMOs. But how does one gain significant amounts of wealth to buy all the shiny new items and mounts, which we use to recreate the fantasies of warring designer jeans while driving around in a Ferrari? Crafting.
Always being one of my favorite sources of funny relatable things to the world around me as a student, College Humor has done it again. Check out there Collegemon and be happy you don’t have to catch them all.
